I am Associate Head Learning and Teaching, in the School of Creative Arts and Media, and Lecturer in Theatre at the University of Tasmania.

I am a graduate of Melbourne University, VCA School of Drama, RMIT University and La Trobe University.

I have extensive experience as a teacher of tertiary Theatre and Drama subjects, having taught at Monash University, University of Melbourne, VCA Theatre and La Trobe University. I have directed many productions and mentored many emerging writers, performers, designers and directors, especially while in the role of Artistic Director at Union House Theatre at the University of Melbourne 1999–2002. As Artistic Director of Here Theatre, I have directed my own work, as well as six plays by Kit Lazaroo.

My theatre practice and scholarly writing dwell in the difficult spaces of knowing and not-knowing; both as a theatre historian, and as a writer-director who brings an embodied understanding of theatre practice to the archive.
